We were merely hoping for a baby who would make it through the c-section to have an opportunity to spend many days and nights in the NICU...and we were blessed with a 5 pound, 9 ounce healthy baby boy, who only had a few hours in the NICU. Without the faith, love, and prayers of friends and family, this blessing may not have been what it had become. With all that has transgressed the past week, we often neglect to say our thanks to our friends and family for their constant love, hope, and faith. Thank you to all who have said a prayer for baby Dossett...those near and far...those we know, and those we don't. A prayer is a prayer, whoever may be saying it. And thanks to the Lord...for he is good and answers the prayers of those who call on him.
Miracles, minor and major, occur every minute of every hour of every day. Thank the sweet Lord for our blessing...Kain Joseph.
With all the happiness he has brought, we know that there are many others out there who are not experiencing the same happiness that has been given to our family. To those who have lost a loved one this past week, especially to the family of the young man who met his maker on Tuesday, let the God of Peace comfort your hearts...many are praying for you. The God of all the Earth will never leave you nor forsake you. We must remember that God gives life and God takes life...both are blessings, though in very different ways.
The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
Job 1: 20-21
Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:25,26
